Upon entering the Temple in Jerusalem through the Beautiful Gate, a crippled beggar asks alms of Peter and John. Peter tells him to look straight at him, and then says "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!" And so it happened.

This etching, made using a dry needle, is more detailed than the version Rembrandt made some thirty years earlier. In the background all sorts of buzz around the temple can be seen.
