The Denial of Peter

After his master Jesus is captured, Peter tries to stay close to him without getting arrested himself. He follows his master into the palace of the high priest. There he warms his hands over embers while the soldiers play dice.

One of the priest's servants recognizes him and exclaims "You also were with Jesus of Nazareth". Peter denies. Not much later he will deny his master two more times, just as Jesus predicted.
