Raising of Jairus' Daughter

The daughter of a governor of the synagogue was seriously ill. Her father asked Jesus for help. On their way news reaches them that the twelve year old girl has died. That doesn't stop Jesus from entering the house. His claim that the child is merely asleep is met with laughter and scorn from the parents and the disciples. Jesus then sends everybody out of the room and raises the child.
