The Marriage of Tobias and Sara

Tobias has found his wife: Sara, whose previous attempts at marriage had been disturbed by a demon. Sitting at the table, Sara's parents watch as the marriage papers are written. To the right, the festivities begin.

Later that night, Tobias' friend the archangel Raphael would help to eliminate the demon. Steen also painted that episode of Tobias' story.
