Simon the Leper was a citizen of Bethany. Here he hosts a meal for Jesus and his followers. Mary Magdalene anoints Jesus' feet and dries them with her hair.

Judas was sitting next to Jesus. He said it would have been better to sell the expensive ointment and give the money to the poor. Jesus replied that this would be the last time his feet were to be anointed.

After dinner Judas went out and betrayed Jesus to the high priests, thus immediately fulfilling Jesus' prophecy.

This is a huge canvas made by the monk Bernardo Strozzi. He made it while he lived in Genoa.
