After having prayed on the Mount of Olives, Jesus is arrested by Roman soldiers. They knew where to find him after Judas had betrayed him. In this symmetrical image two men capture Jesus by his arms.

The text in Latin in the top reads "Et hymno dicto exierunt in Montem Oliveti": after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives (Mount Olivet).

The image is on folio 114r of the Book of Kells.

Folio size (h × w): 330 × 250 mm.
