Master of the Munich Golden Legend

ca. 1400 - 1460

Medieval illuminator, active in France probably between c. 1420 and 1450. He received his name because of his contributions to the French translation of the Munich Golden Legend. That Legenda aurea is mostly a collection of stories about saints.

The Master is thought to have made several contributions to the Bedford Book of Hours.
