Joseph Accused by Potiphar's wife (Washington)

oil on canvas (110 × 87 cm) — 1655 Museum Gemäldegalerie der Staatlichen Museen, Berlin

Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn biography

This work is linked to Genesis 39:17

Potiphar's wife accuses Joseph of fornication after he refused to be seduced by her. Joseph is to the left, in an odd position, especially when compared to the almost identical painting in Washington.
